My Story

Hi! I'm Danielle! What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?  There's one right answer, one wrong answer, and loads of interesting answers in between.

 If you have had me in class, you've most likely told me your favorite flavor of ice cream, or perhaps your favorite Thanksgiving side dish or Halloween candy depending on the time of year.  I enjoy learning about people so writing a section "About Me" is a bit of a challenge.

 My magical website fairy says I am supposed to tell you a little about myself and how all of "this" began…

Telling you how I got here sounds like the end of a story, when it truly feels like just the beginning.  This website is the result of a nerdy, painfully shy, little girl finding a passion, embracing who she is, and shamelessly sharing both with the world.

I have always enjoyed helping people learn. From tutoring classmates at lunch time (recess, yuck!) to helping GED students after graduating college, translating information in a way others could understand was always a gift.  Speaking in front of others… that would come later.

But let’s back up just a little bit…as a child, I had a mother who was a practicing real estate agent, so my whole life, I was around and learning about real estate. Playing with lockboxes and coloring in the old MLS books was a normal part of growing up for me.  I followed in her footsteps and became a licensed real estate agent as well, right out of college! Together, my mother and I worked as a team for the first half of my career. I had the opportunity to experience various real estate related jobs, giving me a fantastic range of knowledge and experience.

My gift for teaching was still ever so present however – and with a career in real estate, my dream became to teach prelicensure classes. I enrolled in grad school to pursue a Masters Degree in Real Estate – completing every requirement to get me to my goal of becoming a real estate instructor. On the other side of all my hard work and dedication, was my dream – just waiting for me!

It turned out that not only did I enjoy helping people learn, but I was also pretty good at it.  I made a brief effort to be “normal” and “professional” and fit the mold that I thought was expected.  I soon learned that I only know one way to be and that’s me. People will get me, or they won’t. I’m Danielle Winn, licensed real estate agent and instructor. I love yellow rubber duckies, polka dots, bright colors and bold patterns, the color pink (hence my hair) and engaging with other aspiring or already licensed real estate agents! My personality keeps class from getting boring, my bubbly sense of humor keeps students engaged and my thorough understanding of the material coupled with my gift of delivering in a way that’s easy to consume, makes me a great instructor.

Now, I spend my time writing engaging, interesting courses that the real estate industry so desperately needs. I show up for my classes with enthusiasm and passion every time with a smile, patience, kindness, and most importantly, FUN.  Because, if you aren’t having fun, you are not doing it right.
